Eligibility Criteria for SSC MTS 2024
To be eligible for the SSC MTS Exam 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Nationality/Citizenship
Candidates must be:
- Citizens of India
- Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan refugees
- Persons of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, etc.
Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)
- MTS: 18-25 years (born between 02-08-1999 and 01-08-2006)
- Havaldar: 18-27 years (born between 02.08.1997 and 01.08.2006)
Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Paper-1 Exam Pattern
The revised pattern includes two sessions with a total of 90 questions. Session 1 covers Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving, while Session 2 covers General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. There is negative marking in Session 2.
PET & PST for Havaldar
- PET: Walking (1600 meters in 15 minutes for males, 1 km in 20 minutes for females), Cycling (8 km in 30 minutes for males, 3 km in 25 minutes for females)
- PST: Height and weight requirements vary for males and females.
SSC MTS 2024 Exam Preparation
